Stockpicking

In mid-August, a friend and I were talking, and we agreed that Uranium will be one of the best investments for the next 40 years. Imagine if you invested in oil 40 years ago.

I remember when I was a senior in high school: I think that was in 1992, and my science teacher said that nuclear power will save the world if only people could get over their irrational misplaced fears. I think he might be right.

I think the evidence shows nuclear energy has taken root. France, China and around the world, nuclear power plants are growing.

So my pick is nuclear / uranium ETFs. Easy to hold, easy to sell, no fees other than trading fee, a mixed bag of the uranium commodity and energy producers and miners.

Go forth and prosper.

Olympics 2016 II

Chicago did not get

Olympics, despite Obama's personal involvement. Yet another example of Obama not able to deliver. I was talking with someone the other day about all the promises Obama made during the campaign and how little success he has had thus far. My friend said, "its a hard job... he took over a bad situation...etc"

But y'know what? I didn't tell Obama to run for office. He ran because he wanted the job. I didn't tell Obama to make all those campaign promises, he made those promises because he wanted the job. Now that he has the job and is failing in all his promises his supporters talk about what a tough situation he is in.

Bunk!

Another politician who says whatever they have to in order to get power. Why am I not surprised?

If he doesn't start racking up some wins Obama may be a one term president. The one thing he really has in his favor is that his opposition are the Republicans who have become the gang that couldn't shoot straight.

Olympics 2016

I predict Chicago will be awarded the Olympics. I made the prediction when Obama was elected and I stand by it now. We will find out in about 14 1/2 hours.
