Circumcision part I

If you go to the website there is an interesting video on the home page that uses clips from Penn&Teller. Worth watching no matter where you stand on the issue.

I will write my own thoughts in the future. But this is a good place to find medical thought on the issue.

Welcome to the website of the National Organization of Circumcision Information Resource Centers, founded by healthcare professionals to provide information to expectant parents, healthcare professionals, educators, lawyers, ethicists, and concerned individuals about circumcision and genital cutting of male, female, and intersex infants and children, genital integrity, and human rights.
What you need to know...
No national or international medical association recommends routine circumcision.
Only the USA circumcises the majority of newborn boys without medical or religious reason.
Medicalized circumcision began during the 1800s to prevent masturbation, which was believed to cause disease.
Today's parents are learning that the foreskin is a normal, protective, functioning organ.
Today's parents realize circumcision harms and has unnecessary risks.
Circumcision denies a male's right to genital integrity and choice for his own body.

Enightenment through the fullness of being

I have not dropped off the face of the Earth. I have been recuperating. For a time I felt that I was loosing my sense of peace and balance. I have spent the last period of time working through some unhealthy feelings and reconnecting to my more positive choices.
Drugs help.
I do not follow the ascetic's path to enlightenment. I do not feel the need to beat myself physically or emotionally or to remove pleasure and risk from my life to attain enlightenment. Understanding is achieved through doing.
And like everything else in existence, we walk a line.

But I am back now and I'm feeling good. So let's chat a bit and see what happens.
